Little Dishes, Big Flavors
May 14, 6:30-10:00 pm, $55, ($20 food fee included)
Meze, tapas, antipasti…no matter what you call them, small plates offer great flavor and are an exciting alternative to traditional one plate entrees. Our menu includes: Greek Bread Salad with thyme, chives, and oregano paired with Sauvignon Blanc; Ratatouille with basil and sage; Roasted Brussels Sprouts with pancetta and marjoram paired with Syrah, and Molasses-almond Shrimp on a spicy cabbage salad with crisp Riesling. To end the meal, we'll enjoy Mini Summer Squash cupcakes with Lemon Glaze.
Let's not forget! This is an idea to stand by...
"Independent bookstores are as necessary to our cultures as good food and clean water are for our bodies. In an age of fast and cheap junk food, we need to seek out the food that nourishes us. In an age of corporate chains and anonymous internet mega-stores, it is important to support community based businesses; we can vote for the world we want every time we shop. By buying books at our local bookstores, like Lucia's Garden, we are standing for integrity, vision and cultural diversity.
-Ruth Gendler, author of The Book of Qualities (now in its 36th printing)
